Beach Weekend

We couldn't have picked a better weekend to go to the beach. Unbelievable weather for late October at the Oregon coast! J and J had a fabulous time playing with each other. They liked climbing on the bunk beds as much as they liked playing on the beach. Daddy had plenty of time to surf and we even managed to drag the kids up the sand dune. J, remembering his adventure race days, dragged J and J to the top with a rope. He also carried H. I had the easy job. I just took pictures.

We went to the pumpkin patch this week to get a family of pumpkins--one for each member of the household. We rolled a wagon out into the field and J selected each of our pumpkins. He picked a 20lber for himself, a tall skinny one for his Daddy and little one for H. Afterward we had a snack of their freshly made kettle corn.

H's first trip to the pumpkin patch. She looks thrilled.
Yum! Lots of kettle corn for me! Posted by Picasa

H Rolls Over, J Decorates for Halloween

Here are a few pictures from yesterday's afternoon festivities. No one took a nap, but H worked on her roll while playing on her exercise mat, and J made some Halloween decorations, including the antennae on the pumpkin.

H shows off some clothes.

H hangs out on the bench in the diningroom wearing the shirt Grandmommy made for her. Daddy calls her his little red-headed girl. We're not sure about her hair, but in this light it looks red.

Daddy loves his little red-headed girl

Posted by Picasa Daddy and H get to spend every morning together. They get J ready for school; then they walk him to school and home again. Daddy picks out H's outfits and impresses Mommy with his fashion sense.

H learns to read.

Posted by Picasa H had her four month Dr's visit with shots and weigh in yesterday. She's 65% height, 25% weight. She's following about the same trajectory as her big brudder. We're not worried this time. We just seem to have spitty babies.
