Mud Puddles

The rainy season, all six months, has officially arrived. J shows H how to have fun in the rain, but she discovered the puddle all by herself. If only I could find some rain boat in her size...

A dry Fall day in Oregon--Sept 22nd to be exact. H sports her new boots, runs away from brudder and enjoys being held by neighbor C. It's a hard day's work being a baby.

kitchen remodel

Before the remodel comes the demo. This is what the kitchen looks like before the dry wall, the painting, the cabinets, etc. This is the blank slate, uh well, the red, white, pink, plaster and lathe slate.

First Day of School

J wearing his uniform and getting ready for the first day of school. The first two are staged; I took them the day before...more time, pristine clothes. As you can see H wants to get in on the action too. She wants to do everything her big brudder does, even if it means hijacking his lunch box. The last picture is really taken the morning before school. You can tell it's more authentic because he already has a tell-tale yogurt smear on his shirt! FIrst Otterpop

It was a right of passage moment. H enjoys her first Otterpop, blue tongue and all. Coming soon, another right of passage, J goes to Pre-K...

Learning to Ride a Bike...and Walk

As you can see from these photos, it's tough to learn to walk and to ride a bike; however, both of our kids are fearless (jumping curbs and climbing steps) and prone to accidents. When J learned to walk, he had that big scab on his forehead for months. H has a big scratch where her nose hit the concrete and a skinned knee. Neighbors J and C watch it all with amusement.

Pirate's Booty

Today, the cousins went on a treasure hunt for buried pirate treasure. They had a blast.

Kids

When did it happen? All of our friends have grown up and now have kids of their own. Here are some of the kids we had a chance to visit this summer. First, the relatives: Aunt Doda and S with all of the cousins' kids. Second, the Chattanoogans, the Camps and Sells. H and J with the brand new Masson, and J, J and the kids in P.cola.
