J had an exciting weekend. On Friday he lost his first tooth. We were all basking in the afternoon sunlight on neighbor J and C's steps, when Daddy decided to give J's loose tooth a pull. Out it came. We had a few moments of panic when J dropped the tooth in the grass and lost it because we didn't know how the tooth fairy would handle a lost, lost tooth; however, J found it, put it snug in a box and hid it under his pillow.
On Saturday morning, he found that the tooth fairy had left a dollar, and he played in his second tee ball game of the season. The team is starting to get the hang of it. In the second photo, you see J actually throwing the ball to first after he retrieved it. Way to go. It was the first real out of the season. But, then again, there are no real outs in this game. Everyone progresses to first and then second and so on. It's just about getting the basic idea at this level. (This is Oregon; there's no Buckhead Baseball competitiveness around here...Yet.)
J also has a black eye, as a result of a fight with the bathroom door at school. So he looks kind of rough, or I mean, tough.
